How to Setup Email User Account in Outlook Express

Go to Tools>Accounts

Click on the Mail Tab and then click on the Add button and click on Mail…

Type in the name you would like the recipient of your emails to see when they get an email from you

IE: when someone receives an email from you this is the name that will appear in the “From” column of their inbox

Suggestion: Use only your first name

 

 Click Next

Type in your full email address and click Next

  1.  

Type the Incoming and Outgoing mail as shown and click next

  1.  

Your account name should appear as the first part of your email address before the @ symbol as shown

Type in your password and click Next

Click Finish

  1.  

Your new email account will appear in the Accounts dialogue box

Click Close

  1.  

Send yourself an email to test

 

Send the email then wait 2 minutes and click the Send/Receive at the top of the program to receive your test message
